Communicate, Negotiate, & Motivate - A Technical Leadership  Workshop

This preconference workshop will focus on essential communication and listening leadership skills.  The course is targeted to new managers in the technical support departments struggling with team performances.  Course materials include self-assessments, case studies, management guides, and mentor networking strategies.

Exploring Bias in Artificial Intelligence - ETC Women in Technology

The interest group session introduced the existence of bias in AI due to machine learning derived from societal norms and cultural perpetuation of bias.  The facilitated discussion reviewed the concepts of implicit and explicit bias, AI hallucination, and strategies to mitigate bias.
